At Shellingford School, we are very keen to foster a love of books and reading in the children. During Autumn Term Two we launched a whole school Book Bingo. Each child was given a ‘Bingo’ card to take home, covering a wide range of book-types. Their challenge was to read 4 books from their bingo card in a line, either diagonally, vertically or horizontally! When they had completed their card, they returned it to their Class Teacher and a new Bingo card was issued. At the end of the term, we celebrated all as a school all those who took part and awarded prizes for the most Bingo cards completed in each Class.
