We had the most wonderful week just before half-term celebrating The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in school. On the Tuesday we held a Community Picnic Lunch and welcomed residents from the village to join us. The weather stayed fine (just!) and towards the end of the afternoon we gathered on the field to create a big ‘70.’ The school presented each child with a special Platinum Jubilee pin badge engraved with the official emblem, we watched part of The Queen’s Coronation and we ate cupcakes to celebrate too! It was such a lovely occasion and one which hopefully will remain in the children’s memories for many years to come.
